Listening Sessions: Repealing the Clean Power Plan

EPA will hold three listening sessions on the proposed repeal of the Clean Power Plan. EPA has proposed that the Clean Power Plan is not consistent with the Clean Air Act.   

Please hold February 28 on your calendars if you’re interested in attending one of three listening sessions the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is planning on its intention to repeal the Carbon Pollution Emission Guidelines for Existing Stationary Sources: Electric Utility Generating Units, commonly referred to as the Clean Power Plan. Comments may also be provided in writing as described in the press release.  A Spanish version of this announcement is attached.
 
The west coast listening session will be held on Wednesday, February 28, at the San Francisco Main Public Library in the Koret Auditorium, 30 Grove Street, San Francisco, CA 94102, from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM PST.  EPA will host three sessions throughout the day that will be structured and run identically:
– Session 1 from 8:30 AM to 12:50 PM;
– Session 2 from 1:00 to 4:50 PM; and
– Session 3 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM PST.
 
During the on-line registration, attendees will need to choose which of the three sessions they prefer to attend. Every effort will be made to accommodate these requests.
 
Registration information and more details will be posted soon at: https://www.epa.gov/stationary-sources-air-pollution/electric-utility-generating-units-repealing-clean-power-plan. When the notice is published in the Federal Register, the registration link will go live and will close one week prior to each session.  For the February 28th session, registration will close on February 21, 2018. Those who will register will receive an email confirmation
 
Due to meeting space limitations, we strongly encourage pre-registration, regardless of whether or not you intend to provide oral remarks. 
 
We are working to stream this session live, and will post such information on the website listed above as soon as it is secured, as well as additional details about the listening session venue and speaking process.
